The Rose Garden

• Names Unknown - Believe to be os the Rugosa family

  • Light Pink

  • Magenta - Thick grey stem with angry thorns!

Notes: 

• Have been in the garden since moving in (2016)

• All fast growing perennials

• Cut back heavily in 2023 

• Sawflies are bad! Remember to spray in the early spring with.

Notes: 

• Perennial started by seed in 2023

• CAME BACK HUGE! 3 times larger than last year. Loves the semi shady spot.

• Martha Washington

• New Jersey Giant

Notes: 

• Martha Washington planted as second year roots in 2023

• First emerged on May 10th

• 2 plants split in  2/3 stems, 2 plants were larger but one stalk each.

• New Jersey Giant planted in spring of 2024. Showed no sign of life. Will wait till next season to see if they come up.
